Team Roger C. Peace is a para-cycling powerhouse – and Addison Homes is proud to support these elite athletes as they compete “on the road to Rio.”
While the ultimate goal in 2016 is to compete in the Summer Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Team RCP displayed incredible strength at the recent USA Cycling ParaNationals. Led by Alicia Brelsford Dana, David Randall, Mark Gyulafia and Aaron Keith, the team was awarded 10 national championship jerseys and gold medals as athletes strive to earn their spots on the Team USA Paralympic squad.
“The team exceeded our wildest goals by winning a grand total of 18 medals at ParaNationals!” says Jim Cunningham, Team RCP’s director sportif. “Our athletes did an excellent job of preparation and training.”
Jerry Page, team manager and head soigneur, points out that “every member of our ParaNational race team medaled at the Nationals event. The efforts by first year members Matt Broughton, Cody Jung and Nick Gibb are especially notable because they were able to reach a coveted podium position in very tough race day conditions in their first National Championships.”
Team RCP’s ParaNational Results:
Matt Broughton (Classification T1) — Time Trial, 2nd place
Alicia Dana (Classification H3) — Road Race, Time Trial and Criterium, 1st place
Nick Gibb (Classification C5) — Road Race, 3rd place
Jason Griffin (Classification C5) — Criterium, 3rd place
Mark Gyulafia (Classification C) – Criterium, 1st place; Road Race, 2nd place; Time Trial, 3rd place
Cody Jung (Classification C4) — Time Trial, 3rd place
Aaron Keith (Classification C2) — Road Race, Time Trial, Criterium, 1st place
